Can I Continue the Total Ten Dr Oz Diet Past 2 Weeks
Dr Oz: Total 10 Rapid Weight-Loss Plan
Dr Oz kicked off his show by announcing his "biggest weight loss plan to date" that was a year in the making. It's his Total 10 Rapid Weight-Loss Plan. Dr Oz claims the plan can give you the best results you've ever had because it's been tested by over 2 million people. Women across the country have seen success on the protein-fueled plan that promises to rev up your fat burning potential and break your sugar and carb addictions, as well as keep you full and satisfied all day long.
The plan is made up of lean proteins and unlimited vegetables, and there's "no deprivation or calorie counting." You can find everything you need to know including recipes, to let you know what to eat and when to eat, on Dr Oz's website.
Dr Oz: Total 10 Rapid Weight-Loss Success
Dr Oz talked to Marissa in the audience, who shared that she's lost 9.4 pounds, saying the plan was perfect for her and became a way of life. Another woman told Dr Oz that she had lost 14 pounds so far and Dr Oz had changed her life. Dr Oz then talked to a busy mom who said she's noticed an improvement in her anxiety as well as losing 9 pounds, thanks to the plan.
Dr Oz shared that their research has shown that after just two weeks on the Total 10 Rapid Weight-Loss Plan, women lose an average of 8.1 pounds. Dr Oz said he realizes that a lot of the initial weight loss is water weight, but it's a great place to start.
Dr Oz: Start Day With Hot Lemon Water + Breakfast Smoothie
So how do you start your day on the Total 10 plan? Hot water with lemon. Dr Oz explained that the drink will kick-start your digestive processes for the day and also serves as a detoxification because the lemon juice calms inflammation in your body.
The next step is to drink your breakfast with a protein-packed smoothie, which will reduce your hunger hormone and steady blood sugar. One of the most favorite breakfast smoothies was the berry smoothie, and you can find the recipe below. Dr Oz explained that you shouldn't feel an urge to have a snack in the morning after drinking this smoothie because it's protein-packed, with 10 grams to be exact!
Dr Oz: Protein-Packed Meals + Vegetable Broth
Dr Oz explained that his Total 10 meals are full of just the right amount of protein that your body needs to feel full. You can consume 12 ounces of protein per day from either poultry, fish, or eggs. You can enjoy a protein source with sides like vegetables and quinoa for lunch and dinner.
Dr Oz explained that the key to this plan is to not feel hungry, which means you're eating all day long. He explained that you can have the Total 10 broth in unlimited amounts. Dr Oz claims the soup can get you through any hunger pangs you may have, and it's made with all the vegetables that work to detoxify you. You can find the recipe for the broth below.
Dr Oz: Unlimited Non-Starchy Vegetables & What To Eliminate
Dr Oz then explained that you can have an unlimited amount of non-starchy vegetables. The low-glycemic vegetables, all 40 of them, have a lot of fiber and take a long time to absorb, so they keep you feeling full for longer.
As for what you're eliminating from your diet, you're no longer supposed to eat wheat, artificial sweeteners, refined sugar, dairy, alcohol, and processed foods, for two weeks. Dr Oz said if you eliminate those things, you will eliminate things that are holding on to that weight, so you'll see that rapid weight loss and a change in your energy levels. Candy shared that it took her three days and a low-grade headache to stop craving those foods, but in the end it was worth it.
